    Adult Ministries

Men and Women of Any Age

"Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was a learned man, with a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervor and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John. He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately." Acts 18:24–26

God created men and women to be helpmates, counterbalances, and companions to one another. Jointly, they more adequately understand and explain life's mysteries and the hope within themselves. For this reason, Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church offers a variety of forums in which both men and women may interact to play out this biblical example. Adult co-ed ministries are responsible for many dear friendships, often spanning five or more decades, among our members. Our invitation to visit all the groups described below is open to the community, single, engaged, married, divorced, or widowed. No advance notice necessary. Never an obligation to become a member.

    Bible Customs & Manners Study

Here is what we are going to try - wear the clothing the people wore, eat a meal or snacks common to the area and countries, try to trade tools of the typical professions of the day, enact home and family life Bible stories to feel what life was like, defend and debate social, political, religious issues of the day.

    Tuesday Night Book Study

Join us in the Parish Hall on Tuesday night for an in-depth study on Psalm 23. Psalm 23 is one of the most familiar passages in the Bible. For many, it brings peace and assurance reminding us who the "Good Shepherd is and does."  "Life without Lack" written by Dallas Willard will guide our time together.  Dallas Willard rescues it from its status as a wall plaque and restores it to its intended purpose as a description of reality and a guide in your life.  We hope you will join us.
