The school year is fast approaching and we are getting ready to begin our eleventh year of the Coronado Community Awana Club at Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Registration will take place at the Meet-and-Greet registration picnic on Wednesday, August 30 at 5:45pm. Please plan to be there to fill out a new registration card and permission slip for each child and pay the appropriate fee/s. You will receive the materials needed for the Awana year.  Our first official club night will be the following Wednesday, September 6. Please meet on the game square at 5:50pm to begin on time.

If a clubber is entering third grade s/he will need to purchase a new uniform and handbook. If your child finished his/her book last year and did not purchase a new one, you will need to do that at registration. If your child did not finish his/her book and is remaining in Sparks (K–grade 2) or Truth and Training (grades 3–6) he/she should bring that book the first night of club.  The Trek students (grades 7-8) will need a new book.

The registration fee is $50 per child. This covers the cost of supplies, awards and materials for special events throughout the Awana year.

All 2016-2017 Awana Club registration $50
    Sparks/Truth & Training  Uniform $15
Sparks/Truth & Training Handbook and CD (Sparks) $10
    Sparks/Truth & Training Bible/book bag (optional) $5
    Trek (Grades 7-8) T-shirt  $15
    Trek Handbook $10
    Trek Bible/book bag (optional) $5

If you are available to help as a leader or listener, there are always opportunities to serve. The majority of our volunteer staff are parents of Awana clubbers. It’s a great way for adults to learn more about the Bible and have fun with their kids!

Please remember to RSVP no later than Wednesday, August 23 for the Registration picnic. It is important that you attend the registration picnic, or make other arrangements if it is impossible to attend. Last year we had to start a wait list for Awana due to the overwhelming response. Let me know how many family members will attend the picnic. Everyone is welcome! You may call or email me.

Looking forward to another amazing Awana year!
