Rick & Katie Moore
Rick and Katie Moore have been attending Graham Memorial since the early 1990s after their son began attending Graham Memorial Preschool. Both Rick and Katie have served in various positions within the church community, from Deacons to committee members. Their heart for service is such a blessing to our community.
More specifically, Rick served as the Deacon moderator for a total of 6 years and on Session, often on the Missions Committee, for a total of 9 years. Katie has also held the role of Deacon, as well as working either on (currently) or with the Property Committee as the “Special Projects Person.” (You can check out some of Katie’s “work” by taking a look at the Bride’s Room or, more recently, the Garden Room Kitchen.)
The Moores have three kids, two daughters who live on the East Coast, and one son here in California. One daughter is a retired Ironman athlete, the other works in medical research, and their son is working in the film industry. They also have two grandkids! Together, the two of them love to travel, while Katie enjoys working on projects to keep her hands busy, and Rick enjoys biking and fishing.
As a child, Rick dreamed of being a businessman, and while he and Katie are now both retired, they keep busy with volunteering and by running their foundation, the Rick and Katie Moore foundation – which might sound familiar to you if you know anything about the Fiesta de Coronado.
Colgate is the toothpaste of choice for the Moores. If Katie could go back in time and meet anyone, she would like to meet Vincent Van Gogh to speak to him about his art. Rick would like to meet his great grandmother.
